The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is expecting showers and thunderstorms to develop Wednesday. There is a marginal 5% risk for strong to severe storms, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Damaging winds, large hail and an isolated tornado are all possible. Rain totals are forecast to be an inch or less.
