Dell went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2018.  Born December 15, 1931, in Tunica, LA daughter of William and Palestine Powell.  Dell grew up in Kirbyville and resided in Orange, Texas. She graduated from Business College, starting her career in Washington, D.C. She married Herold “Sabin” Hannah on December 20, 1956. Dell enjoyed many hobbies and became a masterful crafter. She retired from Bayer Corporation in 1993.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings (Samuel Powell, Minniebell Flannigan, Dorris Miller and Lawrence Powell). Dell is survived by her three children, Gary, Sue and Herold, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Douglas Powell (brother) and LaVerne Branham (sister).

Dell was laid to rest with her husband at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. A memorial service was held in her honor at the Shadyside Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh Saturday, September 15, 2018.

A memorial will also be held in her hometown at the Little Cypress Baptist Church in Orange, Texas on October 6, 2018 to celebrate her life with the many family members residing there. Donations may be sent to the Breast Cancer (Susan G Komen), Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
