Jeanette Parigi

Jeanette Parigi, 77, of Beaumont, died Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Lenrose Place, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of the area, she was born on March 8, 1939, to Stella Glorioso Parigi and John Parigi.
Jeanette graduated from St. Anthony’s High School in 1957. She was a founding member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, taught confirmation classes, participated in the Adorations prayer group, enthusiastically attended retreats and volunteered for church projects. She devoted her life to her three boys, always supporting them, whether it was attending multiple sporting events in a given week, or working on late night school assignments. Jeanette, known as Mimi to her grandchildren, was a loving and fun grandmother who left an everlasting positive influence on each of them.
For those fortunate enough to know Jeanette, she was a very happy, giving, easy going person with a huge heart who would help anyone in need. Her strong Christian faith helped her overcome the challenges of life in a positive way.
Survivors include her sons, Kelly Kroutter and his wife, Denise, of Beaumont and John Kroutter and his wife, Theresa, of Deweyville; brother, Joe Parigi and his wife, Sandy; sisters, Concetta Marbach and her husband, Elgin; Angela Parigi; Rose Marie Mayfield; sisters-in-law, Betty Parigi and Jean Parigi; and Shirley Fischer who was like a sister; grandchildren, Kayli Kroutter, Paige Kroutter, Taylor Kroutter, Jenna Kroutter, and Thomas Kroutter IV; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend and caregiver, Sharron Aycock.
She is preceded in death by her son, Thomas Kroutter III, Thomas Kroutter, Jr., husband of 28 years; and brothers, Sam Parigi and Cyril Parigi.
A Christian Vigil for Ms. Parigi will be begin at 5:00 p.m. with a gathering of her family and friends to follow, Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 31, 2016, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
