An emergency order for Orange County Emergency Service District No. 1 declaring a ban on outdoor burning from Oct. 27 – Nov. 1, 2016 was made on Thursday.

According to the order, a person violates this order if he burns any combustible material outside of an enclosure, which serves to contain all flames and/or sparks, or orders such burning by others.

At the discretion of the peace officer and/or fire officer, second or flagrant violations of this order may be prosecuted in accordance with the Texas Disaster Act of 1975, Texas Government Code §418.001, et seq., and the Orange County Emergency Management Plan.

The order was filed in the Orange County Clerks office at 4:55 p.m. on Thursday.
