What’s on the Orange Historic Preservation agenda?

The City of Orange’s Historic Preservation Commission is holding a meeting Tuesday, July 9 at 6 p.m. in the Public Works building.
The meeting will begin with time for open comments by the public. All speakers are limited to three minutes and while the Commission may not respond, comments will be noted and directed to the appropriate department.
The Historic Preservation Commission agenda includes:
- Consideration and possible action for a certificate for TMD Construction to build a new structure at 1211 Park Avenue
- A hearing on a recommendation to amend the Orange Code of Ordinances Planning and Zoning section related to the Historic Overlay Zoning District
- Dialogue related to other historic preservation projects
- Discussion of maintenance and repairs needed for historical sites and markers
