COVID-19 Testing site set for Sunday

Orange County is offering another Military Mobile COVID-19 Testing site from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 at the Bridge City Community Center located at 105 Parkside Drive in Bridge City. You do not have to make an appointment. If you feel you need to be tested, you are encouraged to go and get tested at this site. You do not have to have any symptoms to get tested.
In one week, 60 more confirmed cases were reported in Orange County. On Thursday, June 18, 131 cases were reported in the area. This week, 191 cases were reported.
Symptoms include fever and/or chills, cough (dry por productive), fatigue, body aches/muscle or joint pain, shortness of breath, sore throat, headaches, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, nasal congestion or runny nose, and loss of taste and/or smell. This includes the three new symptoms announced by the CDC: Congestion or runny nose, nausea and diarrhea.
Texas as well as Florida and California are setting records for COVID-19 cases and being considered the new hot spots for the virus. There are nearly 30 states which are reporting an increasing in confirmed cases as well.
