Former Little Cypress-Mauriceville standout Ethan Reed is wrapping up a tremendous run as an offensive lineman for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

Reed, a senior, was recently named to the Second Team of the Conference USA All-Conference Team and to the Second Team All-Louisiana Team.

Reed remains the nation’s active leader in consecutive starts, making 52 straight starts on the offensive line dating back to his freshman season. He bolsters a line that has helped lead the league in third-down conversion percentage (41.8) and total offense (445.2 YPG).

Reed and the Bulldogs (9-3) will play Miami (6-6) in the Independence Bowl today (Dec. 26) at 3 p.m.
