A few showers and thunderstorms are expected in southeast Texas Friday.
Saturday will be dry region-wide. By Sunday, showers and thunderstorms are possible near the coast thanks to a low pressure system in the southern Gulf of Mexico. Tides will run a foot above normal, which will cause minor coastal flooding during high tides.
Temperatures will run near normal for the next week.
Dorian is expected to make landfall on the east coast of Florida on Monday as a category 3 or 4 hurricane. We will need to monitor this system to see if it makes it into the eastern Gulf of Mexico next week.
