PRESS RELEASE — The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is expecting an active weather pattern this weekend. There is a slight risk for strong to severe storms both Saturday and Sunday, although the timing of the weather looks to be late Saturday night through all day Sunday. Damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado are all possible. In addition, one to three inches of rain is expected, with isolated areas seeing up to six inches. Expect to see some street flooding during periods of heavy rain.
