SILSBEE — Defending Class 4A state champion Silsbee took down the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears 97-57 in District 22-4A action at Tigers Gym Tuesday night.

Jesse Doucette had a nice outing for the Bears (10-17, 1-4), scoring 23 points while grabbing six rebounds. Landon Bearden had 11 points for the Bears while Braden Bridges had five.

Devon McCain led the Tigers (16-6, 5-0) with 18 points, 10 steals, six rebounds and five assists.

Brylon Bush had 17 points. Jordyn Adams posted 16 points and five rebounds while Landyn Tyler added 13 points, six rebounds and four assists.

The Bears will look to bounce back Friday when they visit Hamshire-Fannett.
