Mrs. Montez “Tez” Easley

Funeral services for Mrs. Montez “Tez” Easley, 69, of Lake Tyler, formerly of Henderson, will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Gerald Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin under the direction of Crawford – A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the funeral home. Mrs. Easley passed from this life on Sunday, March 25, 2018, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on October 31, 1948, in Lufkin to the late Grady and Helen (Seaton) Tubbleville. Mrs. Easley was a registered nurse who retired in December after over 47 years of serving in hospitals, home health, skilled nursing facilities and most recently as a nursing instructor for Kilgore Junior College. At her retirement party, is was said that she had taught over 4,000 students in the past years. Known as “Tez” to most, she was even more impactful on the lives of her friends and family. Tez set a constant example to celebrate life to its fullest. She made every holiday and special event even more fantastic through her creative love of decorating and bringing people together. She was the “Queen of the Lake”, the “Queen of Halloween” and the “Queen of Shopping til ya Drop.” She was an animal lover of the most extreme kind who carried food in her car at all times just in case she saw a stray. She was an amazing mother and grandmother to her only son and two grandsons and shameless spoiled them rotten. But, above all else, she was a devoted wife, head-over-heels in love with her husband of nearly 48 years. Together they modeled a marriage that all should emulate. She lived a blessed life and thanked the Lord for it. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and his wife, Bill and Ginger Tubbleville of Orange, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Mike Easley of Lake Tyler, her son, Kelly Easley and his wife Kristy of Tyler and two grandsons, Carter and Cooper. Also, her beloved sisters-in-law, Jo Bentley of Henderson and Bobbie Jean Duke and husband Tommy of Nacogdoches. And numerous special nephews and nieces and their families. Pallbearers will be Carter Easley, Chris Bentley, Kevin Tubbleville, Kyle Tubbleville, Adam Tubbleville and Bill Presswood. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1301 S. Broadway, Tyler, TX, 75701. Special thanks to all the many medical professionals involved, but most specifically to close family friend and nurse practitioner, Cammie Bedell, for her compassionate guidance and professional medical care.
