Hoop Roundup: Bobcats win at Anahuac

ANAHUAC — The Orangefield Bobcats rallied from a third quarter deficit with a 27-18 run in the fourth quarter to take down the Anahuac Panthers on the road Tuesday night 57-50.
Payton Lathrop powered four Bobcat players in double figures with 14 points.
Aven Lathrop and Dylan Williams chimed in with 11 points apiece while Zach Dischler had 10.
Alex Catt contributed six points and a team-high 14 rebounds while Williams added six boards. Aven Lathrop also added three steals.

PORT NECHES — The Port Neches-Groves Indians downed the West Orange-Stark Mustangs 73-57 at Indian Gym Tuesday night.
Bretlin White powered the Mustang attack with a game-high 26 points. B’Jan Arvie added 11.
Edsel Damo paced the Indians with 21 points. Derrick Papa chimed in with 18 points while Yash Garcia had eight and Bailey Broom seven.
LC-M boys
KOUNTZE – Despite a huge effort from Katon Brown, the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears dropped a 68-56 decision to the Kountze Lions on the road Tuesday night.
Brown filtered in 36 points and snagged 15 rebounds in the loss as the Bears are now 10-6 on the season.
Guard Ayson Simmons chimed in with 12 points.
TJ Stanford led the Lions with 25 points while Dallien Edwards had 17 and Jeremiah Barker 10.
The Lions were able to pull away with a 22-5 spurt n the second quarter.

LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears dropped a 55-31 decision to the Liberty Lady Panthers at The Bear Cave Tuesday night.
Alyssa McKellar paced the Lady Bears with 16 points while Renna Toomey added five.
