NWS Lake Charles 2 p.m. update on severe weather

As of 2 pm, a tornado watch remains in place for a large section of Louisiana, and several severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect around the Lafayette area.
The cold front is now moving through an Alexandria to Lake Charles line, so the severe weather threat will be ending for areas west of that line.
The severe weather threat will be ending by 6 pm this evening for south central Louisiana.
