PRESS RELEASE — On September 11, 2018 the Newton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to County Road 2132 Gunter Road off Highway 692 regarding a Burglary of a Habitation. A male subject advised he was chasing an older two-tone pickup occupied by two males. The caller advised that the neighbors were not home at the time. Caller lost the pickup on County Road 2107. After further investigation Deputies were able to identify three black males and one black female that were at the residence. Keterian Adams, LaShanta Wafer, Jakobe Lewis, and Lorenzo Hunter.

Keterian Adams and LaShanta Wafer were booked into the Newton County Jail. Jakobe Lewis and Lorenzo Hunter are still at large.

All four subjects have been charged but are not convicted at this time.
