ORANGEFIELD — They may not be in the same district anymore but you can always expect a big battle between long-time rivals in the Orangefield Lady Bobcats and the Bridge City Lady Cardinals.

That was the case again Tuesday night at Bobcat Gym as the Lady Bobcats squeezed out a 23-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-23 victory.

Bailee Click powered the Lady Bobcats (10-3) at the net as she piled up 14 kills to go along with 10 digs and three aces.

Devany Crain and Lily Saucedo played excellent defense as Crain had 23 digs to go along with 10 kills while Saucedo nabbed 25 digs.

Mackenzie Davis set up the Lady Bobcats well with 24 assists to go along with 14 digs. Faith Fregia had 10 digs, seven kills and four aces while Tiffany Ciangalione contributed 17 assists.

For the Lady Cardinals (5-4) Rylee Oceguera led the way with 13 kills while Hannah Wiegreffe had 10. Kyndall Harrison played solid defense, finishing with 20 digs.
