Summer is here and you know what that means, KIDS ARE OUT OF SCHOOL!
Parents this is the time of year where it is very important to be extra safe concerning your children. In the Golden Triangle alone, there are tons of cases concerning kidnapping of children. So parents please watch your children if they are going on trips with their friends and their families.
It is important to make sure that if you allow your children to go over friends’ houses, to the water park or even across the street that you watch them and supervise them at all times. There was a scenario three years ago in Orange, TX where a child was going to the local fair unattended and the he was missing for three hours. When the police officer asked the seven year old, Caucasian, young boy where his parents were, he said they were at home asleep. WHY WOULD A PARENT LET THEIR CHILD GO THE FAIR ALONE! The officer called both parents into his office and reprimanded them for allowing the child to go to the fair alone.
When I heard this story, it really made me upset because God forbid, anything could have happened to this young boy. The parents could have spent their weekend trying to come up with burial money if something would have happened to their son instead of having him safe.
This is why it is so important to supervise your children at all times. We have child molesters, predators, perverts in our society who do not care how old or young children are. When we as parents leave our children unattended and we act as though we do not care what happens to them, then our children grow up thinking it is ok to run amuck as please.
So parents during this summer break, whether you are going to the park, amusement park, water park, movie theater, playgrounds, grandma’s house, auntie’s house, step-parents’ house, museum, out of state WHEREVER, please keep close watch on your children. We do not want anything to happen to them so they can return to the next school year alive, well and healthy. Remember positive energy is the best energy.
