Free legal advice clinics for SE Texas veterans scheduled

The Jefferson County Bar Association (JCBA) will host the following events for Jefferson, Hardin, Orange, Chambers, and Liberty County veterans and spouses of deceased veterans from these counties on the following dates:
- Free Jefferson County Expanded Legal Advice Clinic
(3 hours of individualized counseling on any legal matter)

- Free Hardin County Expanded Legal Advice Clinic
(3.5 hours of individualized counseling on any legal matter)

Any veteran or spouse of a deceased veteran will be able to receive individualized legal advice from a volunteer attorney in a variety of law areas including family law, wills and probate, consumer issues, landlord/tenant law, bankruptcy, employment, foreclosures, and veterans’ benefits and disability claims. Those who need continued legal representation and who qualify for legal aid may be assigned a pro bono attorney to handle their case.
The clinics are open to any Jefferson, Hardin, Orange, Liberty or Chambers County veteran or spouse of a deceased veteran free of charge.
