Teenager injured in auto-pedestrian crash Christmas Eve

At approximately 6 p.m. Thursday, the Texas Department of Public Safety received a report of an auto-pedestrian crash on Interstate 10 near Adams Bayou.
A 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling westbound on Interstate 10 in the inside lane. A pedestrian was attempting to cross the Interstate and was struck by the pickup truck.
The pedestrian, Amanda Brown, 18, of Conroe, Texas, was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries. Brown’s injuries do not appear to be life threatening and she is expected to recover. The driver of the Chevrolet, Christopher Cheramie, 59, of Louisiana, was not injured in the crash.
There were no traffic citations issued and this crash is still under investigation.
