A Bridge City child is being treated in Galveston for burns suffered this week.

According to a press release from the Bridge City Police Department, the child who suffered major burns and was taken to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for treatment.

The incident took place on Thursday in the 200 block of Meadow Drive. Officials did not release details of what caused the burns, saying only that the burns were non-life threatening.
