Orange Police prepare case for man who jumped from 2nd story apartment, injured leg while fleeing

A case is going to be filed against a man who injured his leg after jumping from a second floor of an apartment building while fleeing police in Orange.
Sergeant Isaac Henry said an officer saw a man on a bicycle who had active felony warrants for his arrest on June 10.
The officer activated his emergency lights and attempted to stop the man, but the man continued on to an apartment complex then took off on foot, according to a news release from the Orange Police Department.
The officer pursued the man on foot, but the man reportedly ran to the second floor of one of the apartment buildings and officers lost sight of him.
He was later found on the first floor of the apartment building.
Officers discovered the man had jumped from the second story and sustained a leg injury.
He was not arrested due to the injury to his leg.
Henry said a case against the man would be filed.
No information was available on the felony warrant.
Police did not release the man’s name, age or hometown.
The location of the incident was also not released.
