Orange County search leads to 2 arrests, methamphetamine confiscation

Two arrests and methamphetamine confiscation resulted from a search warrant executed Monday in Vidor, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The Orange County Narcotics Division and Orange County SWAT led the action at approximately 1:20 p.m. in the 1100 block of Henry Street of Vidor.
During the search, authorities reported uncovering a “substantial amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia,” resulting in the filing of two felony possession charges.
Additionally, individuals with outstanding warrants were apprehended during the operation.
As a result of the search warrant, two individuals were taken into custody for outstanding Class C misdemeanor warrants.
“This operation and coordination underscores the dedication of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to ensuring the safety and well being of the community by actively addressing drug-related offenses,” a release from the Sheriff’s Office stated.
“We would also like to thank the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Honorable Judge Rex Peveto (163rd District Court), and Orange County SWAT for their assistance and invaluable support during the operation.”
Both individuals are facing possession charges related to the seized methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The arrested individuals along with their charges are as follows:
- Kerri Smith, DOB: 04/10/1974, Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) – State Jail Felony
- Charitta Harley, DOB: 02/06/1990, Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) – State Jail Felony
