The Child Nutrition Program at West Orange-Cove Consolidated School District is going to continue the Community Eligibility Provision under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2023-24 school year.
According to district leaders, this means applications are no longer required.
Through the Community Eligibility Provision, parents/guardians are not required to submit a meal application for free, reduced and full priced meals.
“However, the Student Information System will obtain income surveys as per state compliance to obtain social economic data,” a release from the district states.
“Schools that participate in (Community Eligibility Provision) provide healthy breakfasts and lunches each day at no charge for ALL students enrolled all school year.”
