The Orange County Economic Development Corporation and Local First are hosting a reverse vendor and supplier fair for businesses and individuals interested in working on the Golden Triangle Polymers project.
The event will take place July 31 at the Orange County Convention and Expo Center. Orange County businesses receive exclusive access from 1-2 p.m. before doors open to the general public from 2-5 p.m.
“This is a unique opportunity for people to visit one-on-one with the project’s general contractors,” Local First manager Kristie Young said. “We only do this once a year, so we encourage everyone to come out and network.”
General contractors with the Golden Triangle Polymers project will have booths set up on-location so that local business leaders can meet and offer their services.
While the reverse vendor fair is mainly a business-to-business event, job seekers can also show up for the open portion. Workforce Solutions will be present to meet with potential candidates, and people can speak with contractors about potential opportunities.
At last year’s event, over 400 people with 25 businesses showed up to network. There will be refreshments and door prizes at this year’s reverse vendor fair.

Local First is a workforce and economic development program which aims to prioritize local workers when sourcing suppliers and workers for major projects. They expect the Golden Triangle Polymers project in Orange to be completed in 2026.
