According to a Facebook post by Orange County-ESD 1, firefighters responded to a residential structure fire around 11:05 a.m. on July 12.

Crews arrived on scene at 1570 South Timberlane Street in Vidor approximately two minutes after being dispatched. A single story home was on fire, with heavy smoke billowing. The home was a loss due to excessive damage.

Firefighters with Orange County ESD-2, ESD-4 and Pinehurst Fire Department assisted on scene. One firefighter was treated for heat-related injury.

The owners were not home at the time of the fire.

The blaze’s cause is currently unknown and under investigation.
