The Orange Historic Preservation Commission meeting previously scheduled for July 9 at 6:00 p.m. was canceled due to lack of quorum.
A special session will be called in the near future, with a date yet to be announced.
The Historic Preservation Commission meets on a monthly basis and is responsible for maintaining guidelines in relation to the upkeep of Orange’s two historic districts. This includes zoning regulations such as architectural style, building rehabilitation and more.
The canceled meeting’s agenda included consideration of updating guidelines about what structures require a certificate of appropriateness to build within historic district zones.
