Disaster response and prevention experts coming together to benefit Orange County residents

The South East Texas Disaster Expo is set to take place May 11 at the Orange County Convention and Expo Center.
The event is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 .m. and is organized by Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson and Orange counties.
Organizers look to provide valuable information and resources to the community to enhance preparedness and resilience in the face of disasters.
The is going to feature a wide range of exhibitors, including emergency response agencies, disaster relief organizations, healthcare providers, insurance companies and more.
Attendees have the opportunity to interact with experts, participate in educational workshops and learn about disaster preparedness strategies.
“We are excited to host the South East Texas Disaster Expo and bring together key stakeholders to promote disaster preparedness and community resilience,” Orange County Judge John Gothia said.
“This event is designed to empower individuals and families with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively respond to emergencies.”
