Renowned bassist, singer-songwriter Scott Mulvahill performing at Lutcher Theater

Surrounded by hundreds of candles illuminating the Lutcher stage, bassist and singer-songwriter Scott Mulvahill is set to captivate audiences at Lutcher Theater,

The Houston native takes the stage April 20 at 7:30 p.m. Mulvahill’s blend of soulful vocals, masterful bass playing and heartfelt songwriting promises an unforgettable evening of music, organizers said.

Mulvahill earned widespread recognition for his musicianship and live performances. With influences ranging from classic rock to folk and gospel, Mulvahill’s music transcends genres, resonating with audiences of all backgrounds.

His soul-stirring lyrics and virtuosic bass playing have garnered praise from fans and critics alike.

“We are honored to host Houston native Scott Mulvahill at the Lutcher Theater, along with his family members Josmery and Brian Mulvahill, both Lamar University graduates and local Southeast Texas music teachers,” said Lynae Sanford, executive director of the Lutcher Theater.

“Scott’s talent and passion for music are truly remarkable, and we are excited to bring his incredible live performance to our audience in Orange, TX.”

Throughout his career, Mulvahill has shared the stage with artists such as Alison Krauss, Bruce Hornsby, Lauren Daigle and Vince Gill, showcasing versatility on a global scale.

His debut album, “Himalayas,” received acclaim and solidified his reputation as a dynamic artist with a unique voice.

Prior to the Mulvahill performance, the community is invited to A Night Out Downtown by visiting the Stark Museum of Art from 5-7 p.m.

Guests can enjoy complimentary wine and small bites from Free State Cellars and live music from David Justin, as well as explore the museum after-hours.
