The Mauriceville Heritage Association recently celebrated the 43rd Annual Pageant, run in conjunction with the highly anticipated 2024 Crawfish Bash.
The Crawfish Bash is planned May 3-4.
For more than four decades, the Mauriceville Heritage Association has curated an unforgettable experience, not just as a pageant, but as a cherished tradition that resonates in the hearts and minds of participants, leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.
The Miss Orange County Pageant unfolded with grace and elegance April 7 at the Julie Rogers Theatre.
This year’s event was made possible by the support of our sponsors Top Deck Flooring Company, Mooney Boys Ju Jitsu, Merle Norman- Orange & Bridge City, InsureLife Insurance Agency, Catt Lawfirm, Petite n Pretty and Crowned Prisstique.
Under the guidance of Director Jamey MacFarlane, alongside Assistant Directors Mandy Simon and Theresa Hardin, the pageant showcased exceptional talents and grace of local women.
MacFarlane expressed excitement over the crowning of Evei Juneann Shipley as this year’s Miss Orange County Queen, highlighting her potential to be a stellar representative of the program across the county.

MacFarlane also extended gratitude to all participants, sponsors and volunteers, emphasizing the remarkable support enabled last year’s successful fundraising efforts, resulting in a $5,000 award for the Senior Miss Division.
“The Mauriceville Heritage Association extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participants, sponsors, volunteers and attendees who contributed to the success of this year’s pageant,” a release stated. “As we eagerly anticipate the upcoming 2024 Crawfish Bash, we look forward to fostering community spirit and celebrating our cherished traditions together.”
