To The Leader
Bloom SETX, the first annual event for new and expecting moms and dads, occurred on Saturday, August 3rd at the Clifton Steamboat Museum and Event Complex. The event, co-hosted by Best Fed Beginnings, a lactation and feeding clinic, and Thrive Family Chiropractic and Nutrition, a chiropractic office specializing in pregnancy and new families, wanted to create an event to educate SETX parents on a variety of topics.
Parents in attendance learned about a wide variety of topics from a group of speakers including a lactation consultant, chiropractor, doula, and pelvic floor physical therapist. Topics covered included informed consent, birth 101, breastfeeding 101, benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy, and more.
Parents were also treated to a variety of local vendors offering products and services geared towards new moms and babies.
