McKenna, Hennigan win election for Orange City Council seats

Polls are closed and the ballots tallied.
In a run-off election for City of Orange Council Member Place 4 and Council Member Place 5 – At Large, Mary McKenna won District 4 seat and Caroline Mazzola Hennigan won At Large – Place 5.
McKenna had 67.46-percent of the vote with 141 versus incumbent Annette Pernell who had 68 votes.
Hennigan won with 71.61-percent of the votes with 333 against Bill Mello who had 28.39-percent at 132 votes.
In the May 4, 2019 election, for Council Member Place 4, Mary McKenna had 140 votes giving her 49.12-percent of the vote as she challenged incumbent Annette Pernell. Pernell had 100 votes giving her 35.09-percent of the vote.
As neither had the 51-percent needed to be declared victorious in the three-way race, a run-off is required.
The other opponent, Alan Mesecher, received 15.79-percent of the votes during the May 4 election.
The same happened in the four-way race for Council Member Place 5 – At Large.
Caroline Mazzola Hennigan had the most votes with 402, giving her 39.33-percent of the votes against incumbent Bill Mello who had 293 votes, 28.67-percent of the votes.
Charles Ray Thomas and David C. Bailey also ran in the race.
