Pinehurst Police responded to a report of a aggravated robbery 5:15 a.m. on Thursday at the Snowflake Donut at the 1400 block of Strickland Drive in Orange.
According to witnesses on scene, a black male, wearing all black, entered the business with a handgun and demanded money.
The individual became frustrated with the store clerk because she could not open the register.
The suspect attempted to open the cash register but he was unable to open the register, and became angry slamming it on the floor. The person then, reportedly, grabbed the tip drawer as well as a drink and left with an undetermined amount of money
The person left south bound on Strickland Drive on a bicycle.
No injuries were reported during the robbery and the case remains under investigation by the Pinehurst Police Department.
West Orange and Orange Police Departments assisted in searching for the suspect.
