Crystal Beach, Texas — The Texas Crab Festival committee is busy cooking up plans for a 2016 festival filled with more Gulf Coast style Music, Art and Crabs than ever before! With the success of the big 30th anniversary celebration last year the bar has been raised. The Texas Crab Festival earned the title of one of the “Top 10 Food Festivals to Dive Into” from USA Today, and was featured on both the Food Network’s “Eating America” with Anthony Anderson and the Cooking Channel’s popular show “Carnival Eats”. Word has gotten out that the Texas Crab Fest is an all-American family weekend of food and fun not to be missed, and festival planners hope to exceed expectations with a 2016 festival that‘s bigger, better and more fun than ever.
There will be more games and events like the Crab Legs Contest, Washers Tournament, Two-Step Dance Contest and the Wiener Dog Races. More live entertainment with great bands and entertainers from all over the Gulf Coast. More arts & crafts vendors. And best of all, more CRAB with an exciting variety of great new crab dishes for festival-goers to feast upon. All thanks to the wonderful sponsors, vendors and volunteers who come together each year to make it all possible. As always, all proceeds from the festival go to support charitable programs and scholarships that benefit the residents of Bolivar Peninsula.
Start making plans now to attend the 2016 Texas Crab Fest on Mother’s Day weekend, May 6-8 at Gregory Park in Crystal Beach, TX. It promises to be a tasty mix of Gulf Coast fun for the whole family.
