Thomas D. Wesson

Thomas D. Wesson, 79, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2017, in Orange.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 20, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Tom Phelan. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. We celebrate a man who lived his life serving others and never passed an opportunity to help someone. Thomas will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on May 27, 1937, Thomas was the son of Doyle and Era Wesson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joey Wesson; wife, Elaine Wesson; and sister, Pat Wesson.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara Wesson; children, Michael Wesson, of Orange, Christine Bonneaux, of Orange, Warren Wesson, of Orange, Kim Lavigne, of Pearland, and Ronald Casey, of Orange; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Cloud, Mike Garrett, Kelly Lavigne, Jeffrey Sellmeyer, Joey Wesson, and Jim Funchess.
