LCM Board recognizes students and staff

At the September Board meeting of Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD, the Board recognized several students, staff and media members.

Five elementary and two secondary students received 100% on one of the Spring STAAR exams. They are Michael Charrier – science, son of Kristi and Patrick Charrier; John Goddard – reading, son of Sharon and Richard Goddard; Angel Gonzalez – math, son of Araceli and Jaime Gonzalez; Evan Landry – math, son of Mary and Troy Landry; Dean Reynolds – math, son of Sommer and Danny Reynolds; AllieShaffer – reading, daughter of Christine and Alex Shaffer; and John Paul Sulak – reading, son of Catherine and Robert Sulak.

LCE and LCM CISD Elementary Teacher of the Year, Stacey Arabie, who was also selected as the Region 5 Elementary Teacher of the Year was congratulated and recognized by the Board.

The Board also recognized Kelly Meadows, Rachel Choate, and Summer Diamond, who have been instrumental in raising funds for the development of LCI’s Stay and Play, which is about to have a ribbon cutting for the second of three phases of the special needs playground project.
