Sandra Lea Davis

Sandra Lea Davis, 68, of Orange, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2018, at home surrounded by her daughters.   A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Born at Frances Ann Lutcher Hospital in Orange, Texas, on February 9, 1950, she was the daughter of James E. Evans, Sr. and Nelda Jean (Scales) Evans. Sandra was a devout Christian woman. She enjoyed quilting and would spend time outside doing yardwork and chopping her own wood. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was a “Grannee” to everyone. Sandra loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nelda Evans; loving husband, Richard Thayne Davis; brother, Johnny Evans; niece, Shelly Evans, nephew, Craig Wayne Borel, great-nephew, Nicholas Rosen; and son-in-law, Jason Reed.  Sandra is survived by her children, Misty Wiggins and husband Kevin, of Bridge City and Nelda Toomey and husband Michael, of Orange; grandchildren, Emilee and Natilee Reed, Thayne Toomey, and Shelbey and Walker Wiggins; siblings, James E. Evans, Jr., Diana Pollard, Ronny Evans, Terry Evans, and Jenny Ann Smith; many other loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends; and her little dog, LeRoy.
