Contest winners

Vidor High School Building Trades and Welding classes joined forces to enter the Orange County Sheriff Posse Construct a Picnic Table Contest. The eight-foot handicap-accessible table was created complete with a metal pan of fire rocks and propane for the popular “fire pit” look. The joint team tied for first place in the competition. They were presented a check for $625. Pictured, seated in front, are Trent Thompson, Ben Burkett and Daron Holden. Standing in back, from left, are Noble Veillon, Mr. Guthrie, Matt Clayton, Calab Croom, Christian Byers and Chris Chaisson.
