Mrs. Mary Jenkins

The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Mary King Jenkins, 83, of Orange, will be Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at 11am at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home

Visitation will be from 9 until 11am.

She passed November 3rd at Baptist Hospital Beaumont.

A native of Magnolia Springs, TX, she resided in Orange since 1959. A retired educator, she taught in the West Orange Consolidated Independent School District for 31 years.

She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and Phi Delta Kappa Sorority.

An active member of the Mount Zion Church, she served in numerous capacity there.

Survivors include her husband Leon Jenkins, daughters Theressa Cole (Kenneth) and Eulalia King, stepchildren Nina Jenkins, Beverly Jenkins, Allette Jenkins and Kami Jenkins, siblings Lola Johnson and John Cooper (Ruby), 3 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 9 great step-grandchildren.
