Hometown Heroes Blood Drives to Honor Military

(Special to The Leader) —-

LifeShare Blood Centers will hold its Hometown Heroes Blood Drives now through Friday, July 3 at 4305 Laurel Street in Beaumont and select mobile blood drives.
The Hometown Heroes Blood Drive honors those who are serving or have served our country through the military. Blood donors have an opportunity to sign a card with a personal message indicating they gave blood in their honor. LifeShare Blood Centers will provide the cards to organizations sending packages to the troops. A Hometown Heroes blood donor t-shirt will be given to the blood donors in appreciation of their generosity to the community.
“Leading up to Independence Day, we want to help recognize all those who give of themselves to make our country great. The community can honor the service men and women by giving blood in their honor, acknowledging the price for freedom we enjoy while giving something back to the community themselves,” says Tina Hooper, spokesperson for LifeShare Blood Centers.
For more information and questions about blood donation go to www.lifeshare.org or call 409-838-5289
