Ernestine M. Fuselier

Ernestine M. Fuselier, 91, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2017, in Vidor, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Sister Ruth Burch. Burial will follow at Mary Williams Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Orange County, Texas, on May 6, 1925, she was the daughter of Jim and Eva Scales. Ernestine was born and raised in Orangefield and was a member of Harvest Chapel. She worked at Walmart in Bridge City for 30 years. She was the last sibling of the Scales family and was very instrumental in the writing of a book about the Scales family in Orangefield. Ernestine loved her family, music, and knew how to play many different instruments. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Joseph Fuselier; daughter, Debbie Fuselier Forker; and her great-grandsons, Darrick Brantley and Caden Gilmore.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Janie Goins and her families, Tony and Judy Langham and families, John and Nan Knoden and families, Randy and Angela Fuselier and families, and Bo and Candy McCreight and family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Fuselier, Steve Fuselier, Tre’ Fuselier, Chris Johnson, Jay Boyle, Jason Forker, Jody Forker, and Cameron Duhon. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Scales and Chase Gladden.

Food donations may be taken to Orangefield Baptist Church on Thursday between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
