Doris Lynn Jones Brown

 

Doris Lynn Brown, 66, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on January 24, 2018 in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Travis Hood of Cove Baptist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Born in Orange, Texas, on May 4, 1951, Doris was the daughter of Archie W. Jones and Joy (Simmons) McNamara.   Doris was a fun loving, upbeat person who enjoyed life to the fullest.  She was not a stranger to life’s obstacles.  She was a joy to all who knew her. She was Mimi to her beautiful grandchildren, whom she adored.  She loved sharing about their lives, activities, and adventures. Doris loved to sing.  She was faithful to God and ready to testify of His love and mercy to anyone she met. She never lost her fervor for God’s endless love. She leaves us with warm loving memories and the assurance we will meet again soon at Heaven’s door. We love you Doris, always and forever, Your Loving Family.

Doris was preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Heflin, Aunt Jennifer Fuchs Watson, Step-Mom, Archie Jones and Father, Archie W. Jones.

She is survived by her loving mother, Joy McNamara, of Cypress, Tx; sons, Jeramie Wayne Lane and wife Cassie, of Tecumseh, Ok and Jack Benson Brown, of Tecumseh, Ok; grandchildren, Ashli Lane, Race Lane, and Dakota Navin; sisters, Deborah Kay Jones Fuchs and Husband Ronald, of Lake Jackson, Tx, Tracy Faye Heflin, of Middletown, Pa and Mary Jane McCoy and husband Frank, of Orange, Tx; brother, Marvin Moore, of Vidor, Texas; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
