Melba Irene Wallace Philen

Melba Irene Wallace Philen, 86, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. Along with her parents, James and Rosie Wallace; she is preceded in death by her husband, James Philen; two daughters, Laureen “Coonie” Corkran and Helen Sue Philen; a sister, Peggy Sue Williams and three brothers, Max, Maurice, and Hassell Wallace. Melba is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Rose Philen; a sister, Mary Helen Patrick; five brothers, Wayne, Billy, Tommy, Johnny and Larry Wallace. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Cody (Kelli), Calvin (Christine), Brandi, and Joshua and eight great grandchildren, Kiegan, Kaydence, Trenton, Ethan, Kaylianne, Kira, Camdyn, and Carly. Family will receive guests on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a graveside service to follow at Claybar Funeral Home, 800 Highland Dr. Bridge City, TX 77611. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
