The threat for severe weather is decreasing for today. There is a marginal 5% risk for severe storms east of a Lake Charles to Alexandria line. Rain totals today will be less than half an inch for the Beaumont to Lake Charles areas, and between half an inch and in inch for the Alexandria to Lafayette areas.
Low visibilities from dense sea fog in the coastal lakes and bays and coastal waters will improve behind the cold front passage later this afternoon and tonight.
