The Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA is honored to highlight one of its generous sponsors this year. Golden Nugget Lake Charles has supported the arts community in Southwest Louisiana through five events hosted this year. The events included the first annual Supporter Appreciation Luncheon, the Spring Art Walk, Arts & Crabs, The Mayor’s Arts Awards, and The Holiday Art Market. Their total contribution to the Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA this year is $5,807.50. Elizabeth McLaughlin, left, PR/Community Development Manager, presented the check to Devan Corbello, Executive Director, and Morgan Turpin, President of the Board.

The Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA mission is to support the arts and culture in our community by providing resources for our artists and arts organizations through the administration of grants, hosting arts-related events, and encouraging quality of life initiatives in our area.
