NWS Lake Charles weather update: 3:30 p.m. 9.18.19

We are expecting another night of heavy rain that will extend into Thursday. Another 6 to 12 inches of rain is expected in southeast Texas and 2 to 6 inches in western sections of Louisiana.
With a lot of this forecast rain to occur tonight, people need to be aware of the dangers of flash floods at night. It is much more difficult to see how deep the water is over roads at night. If you can’t tell how deep the water is over the road, do not drive into it.
