According to family, Jerry Hughes passed away Friday. He was 80 years old.

The longtime realtor and his, Loretta, who he was married to for 62 years, started their real estate business in 1977. Over 39 years, he and the Hughes family helped change the face of Orange.

His family states that “God received a great man today.” His daughter, Debbie Hughes wrote, “He loved this town (Orange) and the people in it, and was so proud to call Orange home.”

She finished with, “He will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in Peace Dad.”
