SABINE PASS — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats traveled to Sabine Pass Saturday for a double header following the rain out of the WO-S tournament over the weekend.

The Lady Bobcats won the first game 5-2 and took the second game 12-1.

In the first game Ryden Stanfield went 1 for 3. Alayna Dodd went 2 for 2 with an RBI and a run scored. Codie Emma Humplik went 1 for 4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Tiffany Ciancaglione went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored. Alyssa Dodd went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Olivia Grant went 1 for 2 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run scored.

Codie Sorge got the win on the mound giving up 1 earned run on 5 hits and 8 strikeouts in 6 innings.

In the second game Emma Humplik led the Lady Bobcats in game going 3 for 3 with 2 homeruns, 5 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Ryden Stanfield went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Alayna Dodd had an RBI, run scored and a stolen base. Codie Sorge went 1 for 3. Tiffany Ciancaglione went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 3 RBIs and a run scored. Alyssa Dodd had a walk and a run scored. Olivia Grant went 1 for 1 with an RBI and a run scored.

Codie Sorge got the win on the mound giving up 1 earned run on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts in 4 innings.

The Lady Bobcats improve their season record to 10-5 and open district play with Buna this Tuesday, March 5th at home at 6 p.m.
