KOUNTZE — The Orangefield Bobcats jumped on the Kountze Lions early and never looked back as they notched a dominating 84-47 District 22-3A win at Lions Gym Tuesday night.

The Bobcats (24-7, 7-3) outscored the Lions (1-19, 1-9) 29-7 in the first quarter and upped the margin to 49-18 by halftime.

Cade Prejean and Valentin Catt scored 16 points apiece to spearhead the Orangefield attack. Catt also added 13 rebounds and four assists.

Kaiden DuBose contributed 10 points. Tyrone Waggoner and Colby Gonzales each scored eight points with Gonzales having a good showing off the bench by adding 10 boards. Clayson Choate chimed in with seven points, five rebounds and three steals.

The Bobcats will play host to Anahuac Friday.
