Elizabeth “Bettie” Morrow

Elizabeth “Bettie” Morrow, 89, of Cypress, TX died Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 at Silverado Nursing Home. A native of Ava, MO she was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of the First United Methodist Church and also was the church secretary. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in math and chemistry from Missouri State University Springfield. Bettie enjoyed volunteering at the church and also the Vidor library, gardening, cooking, and sewing. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Vidor with her funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Bettie is survived by 1 brother; John Riley Hale and his wife Kathryn of Cypress, TX, 2 nieces; Debbie Lynn Bean and her husband Cory of Montgomery, TX and Priscilla Morrow Harp of Phoenix, AZ along with several other special nieces and nephews.
