Mustangs split at Evadale Tournament

EVADALE — The West Orange-Stark Mustangs split a pair of games at the Evadale Tournamment Saturday.
The Mustangs fell to Big Sandy 6-5 and nipped Beaumont Central 4-3.
Against Big Sandy, Kaleb Ramsey tossed five innings, allowing six hits while fanning six. He was 1-for-4 at the plate with a RBI. Chad Dallas and Jacob Dominguez were both 1-for-4 and drove in a run. Justin Veitch was 1-for-3 with a RBI. Blake Robinson was 1-for-3 while William Robles scored three runs.
Against Central, Jose Alvarez tossed four innings, allowing three hits while fanning three.
Ramsey went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Robles was 1-for-2 and scored a pair of runs.
In other tournament action Saturday LC-M picked up a 6-5 win over Huntington and a 7-6 victory over Elysian Fields in the Gibbens Tournament while Bridge City toppled Madisonville 3-0 in the Cameron Yoe Tournament.
