LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears battled first-place Silsbee hard Tuesday night but fell 66-48 to the first-place Tigers.
Karly Rogers had a huge night for the Lady Bears despite the loss, finishing with a big double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds to go along with four blocked shots.
Silsbee, the 22-4A champions, finished 22-4A play with a perfect 10-0 mark.
The Lady Bears dropped to 5-5 to tie the Bridge City Lady Cardinals, who defeated Hamshire-Fannett 55-39 Tuesday. Both LC-M and BC are in the playoffs and will either have a play-in game to decide the third seed or flip. That is to be determined.
